Masked man holds up Pilot Travel Center

A masked man brandishing a firearm committed an armed robbery early Tuesday morning at the Pilot Travel Center in Fernley.

According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect with dark colored eyes is described as approximately 5 foot 10, weighting about 160-180 pounds.

The LCSO said the suspect was described as wearing the following:

dark dress slacks

dark colored coat that came down to mid-thigh

insulated winter gloves

knitted, multi-colored stocking hat

canvass style, Vans-type shoes (light brown or gray in color) with white soles.

rubber mask with a white beard
