Free workshop on building healthy homes planned in Fernley

A free class is being offered to help architects, builders, and other construction profiles build energy efficient homes that are more comfortable and healthier for homeowners.

The training is taking place from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26 at Fernley City Hall, 595 Silver Lace Boulevard, Fernley.

A light lunch will be provided. The first 25 attendees to register will receive a free copy of the “Success With 2012 IECC for Nevada” guide (a $40 value) courtesy of NV Energy and Southwest Gas.

The course instructor is Mark Lera, President/CEO Distinctively Green Energy and Certified Professor for the Building Performance Institute. Lera has worked in the Energy Efficiency industry for 17 years and is a RESNET HERS Rater, Trainer, and Quality Control Inspector for RESNET.
