Volunteer tax preparers are sought to work at FISH in Carson City during the next tax season.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, a free, volunteer-run tax preparation and assistance service, is holding five days of training in the beginning of January in Carson City.
Volunteers do not need to be AARP members or retirees to participate. Training is free, and volunteers are reimbursed for mileage and expenses. Besides the training, volunteers also must pass an open book tax test.
Volunteers must be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays from February through the middle of April.
