Two to four parade volunteer parade marshals are sought for each division in this year’s Nevada Day Parade on Oct. 29.
Marshals participate in the organization and flow of parade entries along with assistance with crowd control and traffic management along the parade route. Volunteers must be at least 18 and able to walk the length of the mile-long parade route while overseeing a division of about 20 entries. Marshals will report at 6 a.m. and will be needed until about 3 p.m. All marshals will receive a commemorative hat and complimentary breakfast and lunch on parade day. An appreciation dinner on a date to be announced also is planned.
Volunteer store clerks, information booth attendants and helpers to set up and tear down also are needed on parade day.
