A spokeswoman for Nevada’s medical marijuana registry says patients now no longer have to go to the DMV to get their cards.

From now on, those cards will be mailed to patients automatically. dical marijuana patients now can apply for, pay for and get their medical marijuana approval online and receive the card in the mail.

Patients can go to http://dpbhnv.gov and click on the Medical Marijuana Registry. From there, they can create their account, scan in their drivers’ license and download then print their application.

But patients still have to get a physician to recommend them for the card and sign the waiver/acknowledgement in the presence of a Notary Public.

Those who complete their application can then scan and upload them for approval. Letters of approval can be provided in as little as 24 hours and those letters can be used at dispensaries until the card arrives in the mail.
