Volunteers sought for Public Lands Day event Oct. 1 at Washoe Lake State Park

Volunteers are needed for National Public Lands Day project at Washoe Lake State Park from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 1.

The event, sponsored by the Bureau of Land Management, Carson City District and Washoe Lake State Park, is part of the many events being held around the country as the nation’s largest volunteer effort to improve public lands.
