Western Nevada College will hold its annual Golf Classic for September 23 at Silver Oka Golf Course.
Foundation director Niki Gladys said there still are a number of the 144 foursomes available for those wishing to play and support the college.
“This is going to be an amazing event,” she said.
There are three hole-in-one sponsors this year. Dick Campagni is sponsoring two and Michael Hohl the third. If someone scores a hole in one on those parts of the course they can win a car.
There are tee prizes, a barbecue and awards ceremony, on-course refreshments, raffle prizes, a poker run, a Margarita hole and team photos.
This is the 17th year of the classic, which has been WNC’s biggest fundraiser.
Registration opens at 8 a.m. on the 23rd with a shotgun start at 9. The cost is $125 a player or $460 for a foursome.
The classic is hosted by the Western Nevada College Foundation and supports workforce development in the Sierra Region.
