An annual fundraiser to benefit a program that helps local families living in poverty find a path to self-sufficiency is making its comeback on Saturday, Oct. 15.
The Capital City C.I.R.C.L.E.S. Initiative’s annual Gem of a Fundraiser will return to Thunder Canyon country Club with live music by pianist Phoebe Yang and classical guitarist Jack Di Carlo.
Attendees of the annual auction and fundraiser are treated to hors d’oeuvres and drinks as they browse through a treasure trove of live and silent auction items.
Doors open at 5:45 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. To buy them, call 775-883-6506.
The Capital City C.I.R.C.L.E.S. Initiative offers programs in which families typically take 18-24 months to achieve self-sufficiency. Upon achieving self-sufficiency, participants give back to the community to complete the circle.
