Office Depot’s Store of the Future is hosting its grand re-opening today, Sept. 22.
A free gift for the first 100 customers to make a purchase and 20 percent off the entire store during the store’s re-opening event.
“Office Depot’s Store of the Future will meet the needs of those ‘officing’ on-the-go, at home or in their corporate workplace, by offering improved technology services and in-store small business experts — available to help local businesses. In addition, the modern Store of the Future layout will provide larger, clearer store navigation with better signage and products arranged with a new “Good, Better, Best” system,” Office Depot said.
A ribbon cutting with Carson City dignitaries was held in late July. The store went through a three-month remodel and is now half the size, but still sells all the same inventory and has added services such as hiring and payroll consulting. It is one of 24 stores to redesigned and re-opened.
The store also employs more people now, about 25 on staff, than it did before the changes, said Rogelio Garcia, store manager in July.
Office Depot is located at 222 Fairview Drive and is open seven days a week, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., except Sunday when it’s open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
