For the 17th year, Soroptimist International of Fallon presents the Home and Garden Show on April 22 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and April 23 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Fallon Convention Center.

Several categories of vendors will be of interest for people looking forward to the spring with new ideas. Take for instance the garden and patio; J& K Llamas, Workman’s “Better than Yesterday” and Flower Tree Nursery will be return with their spring plantings. They will be joined by Nelsons Custom Design and Argenta Phantom Screens to complete your spruce up project. Out West Buildings are new this year.

Other new and returning vendors include Perfectly Post, Wonder Zone-Pain Stops Here, Needle in a Haystack, Made by Dixie, The U, TOPS, Usborne Books and More, and Re/Max Connection.

For the indoors, check out Rainbow Vacuum Cleaners, USA Bath and Closet, Custom Cabinet and Design, Bassham Furniture, Sierra Enterprises and CC Communications. Warm up the kitchen with Susan’s Bags and Aprons,

Community formation booths include Churchill County Museum, Churchill Community Coalition, Banner Churchill Community Hospital Auxiliary and Banner Health, Churchill County Extension and Child and Family Services Foster Care.

For the children, visit Ivy’s face painting, the 4-H animal display with chicken bingo and Churchill Free Masonic Lodge’s fingerprinting, Women will enjoy clothing vendors, beauty products, lavender soaps, women’s defense, nutritional food products and jewelry. KAIA Fit shares the value of exercise. For the animal lover in the family, check out the Fallon Animal Welfare Group display.

Many more vendors will be at the show to share their wares. Food and snacks are available from Lattin Farms. Pearl’s Bakery and Café.

Soroptimist International is an organization for women donating their time and talents to doing what is best for women and girls in the community. Projects supported by proceeds from the Home and Garden Show have been the Pioneer Park on North Maine Street, the Fallon Senior Center, Frances Aguirre Memorial scholarship for graduating high school girl, and the Live Your Dream Award for a single mother finishing her education.
