Of course we’re celebrating Easter on Sunday, but Monday is Blah, Blah, Blah Day and at first, I had no idea why it’s called Blah, Blah, Blah Day. It seems the day is devoted to encouraging those to stop procrastinating, so I thought it should really be called Stop Procrastinating Day.
But as I read further, it’s basically a day to renew those New Year’s resolutions we made and to remove the blahs. I still think it should be called Remove the Blahs Day.
When I first saw Monday was Blah, Blah, Blah Day, I thought it was about people who talk to much. And it seems to me it’s a little late to be renewing those New Year’s resolutions three-and-a-half months into the year. It seems Blah-Blah-Blah Day or Remove the Blahs Day or whatever you want to call it should happen around the first of March.
And plus, spring isn’t exactly the time to be talking about the blahs. Yes, spring is a time for renewal, but looking outside at another beautiful day in Carson City the last thing I want to be talking about is having the blahs.
I think most people love spring or at least the every-once-in-while coming of spring until June it seems we have anymore.
So I guess if you want to celebrate Blah, Blah, Blah Day, recognize what I think it’s truly supposed to be about which is the renewing of the spirit in spring.
Either that or maybe it’s taking a shot at ‘NSYNC, I don’t know.
