U.S. Marshal Kelly came up by train yesterday morning, having in charge George Ham and Henry Stevens, charged with robbing the Post office at Eureka, for trial in the U.S. Court.

Game Warden Gregory is a busy man these days. He is determined to enforce the fish and game laws, no matter what the cost or who it hits. The warden has been under the impression some time that it was in direct violation of the law to use the spawn, eggs or ova of fish as bait.

Bids for the construction of a new cell block at the state prison and alteration and repairs to the present building will be asked immediately, it was announced today following a meeting yesterday of the state Board of Prison Commissioners.

An Oregon State University agriculturalists has sent Nevada State Prison inmates some booklets to help their knitting. Don Carr, information director for the Agriculture Department, said he read where the prison casino was to be abolished in March and replaced with a quit hobby program including knitting.

Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., touched off a debate today in a Senate hearing by charging that colleague Chic Hecht, R-Nev., does not oppose the building of a nuclear waste dump in Nevada.
