The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
TUESDAY
At 9:08 a.m., a 48-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court, three counts of failure to appear and basic speed after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Fairview Drive and 5th Street. Bail was set at $1,903.
At 11 a.m., Wilby Washam, a transient, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, felony providing false identification to avoid prosecution and felony failure to appear after deputies responded to reports of suspicious subjects near the Highway 50 Dotty’s Casino. At the same incident, a 34-year-old Reno woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail for Washam was set at $12,500 and bail for the woman was set at $1,000.
At 11:20 a.m., a Reno man was arrested on suspicion of two counts of battery, destruction of property, battery on a peace officer and a legal 2000 hold after deputies responded to reports of a man punching employees and the walls near the 1000 block of Minnesota St. Bail was set at $4,000.
At 4:13 p.m., a 28-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny after deputies responded to reports of a man taking beer from the Rand Avenue Chevron Gas Station. Bail was set at $250.
At 4:36 p.m., a 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery near the 1600 block of Airport Road. Bail was set at $3,000.
At 8:31 p.m., Brian Collins, 51, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony false imprisonment, destruction of property and Legal 2000 hold after deputies responded to reports of a man ramming a vehicle into a residence near the 200 block of Pasture Drive. Collins led deputies on a brief vehicle chase before returning to the Pasture Drive address. Bail was set at $20,500.
The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes.
