It’s one small sandwich for man, one giant PB and J for mankind.
Those of you who choose to read this Popcorn Stand know how much I like peanut butter. I like peanut butter with crackers. I like peanut butter straight out of the jar. And there’s nothing like a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Now NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough has given me an idea I never thought of — peanut butter and jelly on a tortilla. Of course it would make sense Kimbrough would want a peanut butter and jelly sandwich — even if he is in space at the International Space Station.
And since apparently bread doesn’t work all that well in space, astronauts apparently use tortillas instead. So in this video http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/make-peanut-butter-and-jelly-sandwich-in-space_us_5900bffae4b081a5c0f9e3e0?section=us_weird-news Kimbrough demonstrates how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich using a tortilla which consists of putting peanut butter and jelly on a tortilla. Yes, making a tortilla PB and J has its gravitational challenges in space, so velcro comes in handy for Kimbrough.
As for me here on earth, Kimbrough has come up with a brilliant idea. I’m pretty lazy so now instead of having to get out two pieces of bread, I can just slap the peanut butter and jelly on a tortilla.
It’s a pretty smooth idea if you ask me.
