Aug. 07, 1940 - April 21, 2017
Juantia Joyce (Jones) Dietrich came into this world on August 7, 1940 and went home to the loving arms of Jesus on April 21, 2017.
Juanita was born to Edward H and Beulah Carol (Boden) Jones in Reno. Her and her family moved to Yerington, NV in 1945.
Upon graduation from high school in 1958, Juanita joined the United States Air Force, being stationed at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey for three years. She flew Military Air Transports enjoying layovers in Germany, Spain and England.
Juanita came back to Nevada and settled in Carson City making that her home for the next 20 plus years. She worked for Nevada Highway Patrol Dispatch and the State of Nevada in various departments. While in Carson City she met her former husband Dwaine Dietrich and the loves of her life, her two children, Kenny and Kim Dietrich.
She was active in the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls and enjoyed being Mother Advisor. She played softball and also participated in a pool league. Juanita loved to crochet and sew.
In 1984 she attended training for dog grooming and moved to Pahrump Nevada. While in Pahrump she built JJ’s Groom and Room and was very successful. Juanita was active in the Chamber of Commerce and the Moose Lodge. She lived in Pahrump for 16 years and then moved back to Yerington to help take care of her parents. She worked for Mason Valley Residence as the activities director for 5 years and then worked at the Lyon Health Center prior to retiring. While in Yerington she was active with the Moose Lodge and was a Deacon in her church. Family was very important to Juanita.
She was preceded in death by her parents and niece Tina Louise Jones (Park).
She is survived by her siblings, Jacquie (Dick), Eddie (Mary), and Judy; children, Kenny (Joanne) and Kim (Greg); grandchildren Jessica, Joe Donn (Sharayah), Sean, and Jake (Megan); and great-grandchildren Bella, Brea, and Nixon; along with aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 29th at 11:00 am at the Yerington Vineyard Fellowship Church.
