Commission to discuss Enel glare update

The Churchill County Board of Commissioners will meet Thursday at 8:15 a.m. in the chambers at 155 N. Taylor St.

The board will consider and take possible action regarding the following:

Secured log changes review pursuant to NRS 361.310 (4) for fiscal year 2017­2018, presented by the Assessor’s Office.

Approval to hire a grant funded bookkeeper assistant for the Social Services Department.

Contract with EMS Web Applications for guardianship case tracking for $156 annually per client.

Update from Enel Green Power North America on the progress made to block the glare coming from the EGP Stillwater Solar PV I plant and adoption of Resolution 26­2016 outlining the determination of the nuisance complaint filed by Candy Peck.

Acceptance of the state Health and Human Services Family Resource Grant for FY 2018 for $21,217.25.

Approval of sub­grantee agreement between county Social Services and the Churchill Community Coalition for Resource Liaison and Parenting Wisely Classes for the period of July 1, 2017–June 30, 2018, totaling $20,504.07.

Transfer of funds to the county Road Department for $150,000 for various road/bridge projects for the prior fiscal year’s fourth quarter.

Approval of Resolution No. 290­ 2017 requesting assignment of a deputy attorney general to handle a conflict case from the District Attorney’s Office.

Professional Services from Sletten Construction in an amount not to exceed $28,634.00 to: 1) evaluate primary issues related to security, safety and capacity of District and Justice Courts and develop design options including a combined public entrance, secure entrance for staff, and improved queuing and circulation of the public; and 2) conduct a site feasibility study and provide a program for a new consolidated courthouse.

Contract between the county and SPB Utility Services, Inc. for continuation of county utility operations support.
