April 26th, 1937 ~ December 3rd, 2017

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mom, grandmother, aunt and friend, Geraldine Louise Morse, who passed peacefully at her home in Carson City, Nevada after a long illness. She is deeply loved and missed by her friends and family.

Geri was born in Santa Clara, CA, on April 26th, 1937, to Herman Timmons and Pearl (Franks) Timmons. She grew up in California, attended San Jose State University, started her career as an executive secretary and had a wonderful group of friends.

In San Jose she started her family, and in her late 30’s they relocated to Nevada and made Carson City their home.

Geri was a strong, vibrant, beautiful, very intelligent woman, often stubborn, and a great writer of poetry and songs. While in elementary school, Geri was a roller-skating national champion. She loved animals, especially dogs, always giving them first and middle names, Phyllis Jean was her favorite Irish Setter. She had natural style and a flair for high fashion, often designing her own clothing. Her favorite sport in the entire world was football, the 49ers were

her team. Everything stopped when football was on TV and she kept detailed stats and scores on all teams.

Geri raised 3 grandchildren and guided her granddaughters in every way, encouraging them to be the best that they could be. In her own life she never gave up, every hurdle life put in front of her she embraced as a challenge. She will always be remembered as a loving, caring woman, and cherished by all who knew her.

What we will remember most about Geri is her beautiful smile, unbelievable sense of humor and incredible personal style. She is loved and missed by so many.

Geri is preceded in death by her father Herman Timmons; mother Pearl (Franks) Timmons; brother Richard Dusio; and son Stephen Scott Morse.

Geri is survived by her sister Genevieve Schaefer of Santa Cruz, CA.; sister in law Carol Dusio of Springfield OR.; daughter Linda Cathey of Boulder, CO; son David Morse of Kennewick WA.; grandchildren Candace Smith of Sparks, NV, Stephanie Hemovitch of Carson City NV., Steve G.
