The Dayton Township Kiwanis will hear from Lyon County Sheriff Al McNeil at its meeting at 6:30 p.m. March 1 at the Dayton Senior Center, 320 Old Dayton Valley Road.
Sheriff McNeil will talk about what volunteers can do to support the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department so first responders can better do their jobs.
The event includes a potluck dinner prepared by club members.
Additionally, games of craps, 21, roulette and bingo will be offered at the club’s 27th annual Casino Night on March 18 at the Dayton Community Center. The event, from 5 to 10 p.m., offers pulled pork sandwiches, drinks, raffles, prizes and a silent auction.
All proceeds are used to support local scholarships and other youth and community programs.
