Man arrested on possession of a controlled substance, failure to appear, says Carson City Sheriff’s Office

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

THURSDAY

At 9:10 a.m., a 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 3200 block of Arrowhead Drive. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 11:30 p.m., a 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of failure to appear after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Dan and Peters. Bail was set at $5,000.

At 12:52 p.m., a 27-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of two counts of violation of a suspended sentence after deputies responded to reports of an unknown problem near the 700 block of Hot Springs Road. Bail was set at $500.

At 7:19 p.m., Abraham Cortez, 20, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony battery with a deadly weapon after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 900 block of 5th Street. Bail was set at $25,000.

At 8:21 p.m., Anthony Mathis, 28, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony misuse of 911 warrant after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 1500 block of N. Peters Drive. Bail was set at $2,500.

At 8:42 p.m., a 25-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of violation of alternative sentencing after deputies conducted a pedestrian stop near the 2700 block of Highway 50. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 9:21 p.m., Nancy Vierra, 40, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies conducted a pedestrian stop near the 5th Street JM Discount Liquors. Bail was set at $3,500.

FRIDAY

At 12:56 a.m., Erin Sullivan, 39, of South Lake Tahoe was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription and possession of burglary tools after deputies responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle at the Market Street Dotty’s Casino. Bail was set at $5,000.

At 2:28 a.m., Timothy Wilson, 37, of South Lake Tahoe was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, felony violation of a suspended sentence, felony failure to appear and violation of a suspended sentence after deputies conducted a business check at the Goni Road Comstock Casino. Bail was set at $8,500.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes.
