Kudos to all who helped ensure the success of the 2017 Feast of Chocolate sponsored by the AAUW Capital (NV) Branch on Feb. 11 at the Plaza Hotel and Event Center.
Thanks to all of the local businesses who provided delicious chocolate enjoyed by the capacity crowd — Raley’s Carson City, Grandma Hattie’s, Casino Fandango, Red’s Old 395 and the Carson High Culinary Arts Program.
Special thanks to Kasey Kemmet, culinary instructor and students Mikaela Hall, Camryn Smith and Kacie Dickinson for their special creations and assistance in serving.
Harp music provided by Wanda Perschnick was a wonderful addition.
Special thanks to local businesses contributing gift certificates: Gold Dust West, Hairport, CV Steakhouse at Carson Valley Inn; Café Adele’s; Trader Joe’s for a bag of groceries; and to Intimate Designs Florist for a lovely floral arrangement.
Proceeds of the Feast of Chocolate support the AAUW Capital (NV) Branch scholarships for local high school students; the AAUW Fellowships and Grant programs as well as local programs promoting equity for women and girls.
