...A FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS FOR RAIN AND

SNOWMELT REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 AM PST TUESDAY FOR PLUMAS...

ALPINE...SIERRA...SOUTHEASTERN LASSEN...STOREY...SOUTHERN WASHOE...

DOUGLAS...AND NORTHERN LYON COUNTIES AND CARSON CITY...

At 427 AM PST, the heavy rain has ended, but many small streams

continue to see high flows and are out of their banks. Also,

flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas should continue

through the morning. Showers will persist today and snow levels will

begin to fall. The falling snow levels and lack of widespread

moderate or greater rain will allow many areas with minor flooding

to see their flood waters slowly drain through the morning.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...

Reno, Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville, Virginia City, Dayton, the

Sierra Valley, and Washoe Valley

Bridge Closures:

As of February 20, the bridge at Bafford Lane and the river crossing at Diversion Dam are closed due to flooding and/or flood preparation.

Signs are posted alerting of the closures. For your own safety, do not drive around the signs and barriers to cross them.
