Fallon’s Babe Ruth all-stars begin state tournament run next week

Fallon Youth Baseball continues its all-star season next week with the Babe Ruth division where two teams will compete in the state tournament.

Fallon’s 16-18-year-old team begins its state tournament Monday at Sun Valley Community Park. Fallon faces Sparks at 5 p.m. with the winner taking on South Reno Tuesday. The three-team, double-elimination tournament concludes with the championship game on Thursday at 5 p.m. An “if game” is scheduled for next Friday as the winner advances to the regional tournament later this month.

Fallon’s 13-15-year-old team opens its state tournament on Thursday with a 5 p.m. clash with South Reno at South Tahoe Middle School. The winner takes on the winner of Sparks-South Tahoe next Friday at 7:30 p.m. The championship game of the double-elimination tournament is July 15 at 4 p.m. with an “if game” slated for July 16 at 1 p.m. The winner advances to the regional tournament.
