Looking for the best place to stay in Douglas County or the coziest restaurant in Carson City? Searching for family weekend activities in Reno?

Sierra Nevada Media Group, parent company of the Northern Nevada Business Weekly, has launched www.everythingne vada.com, an online directory for locals and tourists to answer those kinds of questions for the northern Nevada region.

Kevin Idoni, general sales manager for Everything Nevada, said the timing was right for this type of venture.

“One of the reasons we launched this was because of Nevada’s booming economy with all the new companies coming into the area,” Idoni said. “Northern Nevada, especially Reno has such a growing, high-quality restaurant establishment and the entertainment choices are becoming better and better every year, so we really just felt that people need a robust guide in these categories.”

The concept was first introduced in March with Everything Carson City and soon thereafter Everything Minden/Gardnerville. Everything Reno recently launched.

Along with Idoni, Erin Pearson serves as content manager, while Raul Tibaduiza is marketing strategist helping businesses onboard to the website.

If the venture takes off as hoped, the staff intends on adding other northern Nevada hotspots.

The site also offers links for local business to promote happenings such as dinner specials at an eatery, or discounted room rates at a hotel. Users can also add special events to the online calendar.

Everything Nevada features relocation guides for newcomers to the region with information on local schools, government services and more. Users can also find a guide to other services, such as attorney offices, financial advisers or auto mechanics.

“It’s built to promote local businesses,” Tibaduiza said. “We feel it’s an effective, inexpensive form of marketing for these people.”

Tibaduiza indicated Everything Nevada’s website, www.everythingnevada.com, is a gateway for local businesses and event organizers to distinguish themselves.

“The marketing interfaces or profiles we build for our clients are quite robust in terms of the technology it provides,” Idoni said. “For one, they are very Google friendly so our clients see a big uptick in organic search rank growth. They also completely sync with their Facebook page and Mailchimp account, so content sharing, like a restaurant’s daily specials for example become a one click post across all their key social platforms.”

Another feature is a regular blog on current events. For instance, in May, Idoni said, they featured a blog on Mother’s Day gift ideas and the best places to eat. Other features include a link for users to submit their special event information.

Everything Nevada has also established content sharing partnerships across multiple SNMG media sites, including the NNBW. The NNBW event page and local dining specials are shared from the every thingreno.com website.

“The event, dining and shopping content shared across our network is what truly stands our directory apart from the others, this sharing helps our clients blast their content across established news outlets and it in turn gets them in front of multiple demographics and areas across northern Nevada,” Idoni said.

Everything Nevada has established a social media presence on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter. The site is compatible with just about every mobile device for easy access.
