Those who choose to read this Popcorn Stand know how I like to keep up with the latest food trends and this latest offering looks intriguing to me.
Pringles could market this latest product as College in a Can as I did spend many a night in college studying while eating Top Ramen noodles. Pringles is now offering Top Ramen Chicken-flavored chips. These delicious-sounding chips are apparently exclusively available at Dollar General stores as the outlet apparently began selling the product in July. And of course as is the case with most tasty, unique products they’re going to be available for a limited time only.
Of course when you combine a salty chip with salty chicken flavoring you get an even more salty chip. Go figure. The Ramen Pringles are 40 mgs higher than regular Pringles at 190 mg per serving. But there’s apparently even more salty versions of Pringles than Ramen Pringles.
There’s The Cheeseburger and Tangy Buffalo Wing Pringles which have 240 mg and 280 mg of sodium, respectively. Where have I been. I didn’t even know Tangy Buffalo Pringles existed and they sound awfully tempting as well.
As good as those flavor of chips sounds there’s still nothing like a bag of sour cream and onion potato chips. And yes, I’ve dipped sour cream and onion potato chips into French onion dip. And when I don’t have tortilla chips to go along with salsa, my bag of sour cream and onion potato chips will do.
So now I have Tap Ramen Chicken-flavored Pringles to go along with items such as the McRib sandwich on my list of guilty pleasures. Hey, wait a minute. A McRib-Top Ramen Chicken flavored Pringles combo meal sounds awfully good. Are you reading this McDonald’s?
