LAS VEGAS — Police in Las Vegas are seeking a person of interest in connection with a threatening note addressed to Republican U.S. Sen. Dean Heller that officers discovered when responding to a report of a burglary.

Police on Wednesday released surveillance video showing the man walking around a building and getting into an elevator.

Patrol officers on Sunday responded to the building where Heller’s office is located after an alarm company reported a burglary alarm. They found the note near the door of the senator’s office.

The man is described as Caucasian and in his 50s. He has a gray beard. The video shows him wearing a black baseball hat, shorts and a short-sleeve shirt.

Police say neither the building nor Heller’s office was burglarized.

Police have not released the contents of the letter.
