Mary Catherine Efford

Mary Catherine Efford of Carson City, Nevada died Saturday July 8, 2017. She was born January 19, 1921 in Los Angeles, California. A long-time resident of Carson City, she was known and loved by many. She owned and operated ‘Grandma Mary’s Day Care’, located at her home in Carson City for more than 30 years. She was a member of and attended St. Teresa’s Catholic church.

She gave without expecting and loved without question. Her generous nature and kind heart brought happiness to many. This was a woman who’s only want in life was to have a happy, healthy family. She laughed without hesitation and was quick to offer worthy advice. To say that she will be missed is an understatement.

She is survived by her children, Mary (Casey) Jones, Suzanne Efford, Michael (Patty) Efford and Janet (Jim) Meredith. She also leaves behind 3 granddaughters, Jennifer Anzalone, Stacey Weston and Ashley (Ibe) Djukic; and 3 great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Emily Anzalone and Ava Weston. As well as her beloved sister Carole Koelfgen; her niece Maryanne Devereaux; her great nephew Corey Devereaux and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her memorial service will be at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley, 1281 N. Roop Street, Carson City, NV. July 26, 2017 at 3:00 pm. All are welcome to come and join in the celebration of Mary’s life.
