A day of live music, vendors, food and displays of custom cars, motorcycles and trucks is in store at a fundraiser to benefit Boy Scouts Troop 33.

The 4th Annual Send a Scout to Camp Car and Truck Show fundraiser is returning to Fuji Park in Carson City on Aug. 12.

The show will be from 10 a.m. to 2 with an award ceremony following at 3 p.m. Registration costs $40 per entry. Early and day-of registration options are available and offer participants a T-shirt, lunch ticket, and dash plaque.

Voting will be in people’s choice, scouts’ choice and 1st-4th places in the following categories: 1900-1939, 1940-1954, 1955-1969, and 1970-present day.

Awards also will be up for grabs for trucks, furthest distance and largest car club participation.

The event offers three live auctions at 11 a.m., 12:30, and 2 p.m. Credit and debit cards will be accepted.

Also on hand will be music, vendors, a Bonneville race car, and custom cars/motorcycles/fire truck display. Food by Warren Engine Company No. 1. will be available.

Proceeds will help each scout participate in various Boy Scout activities, which help them earn merit badges, achieve rank advancements and purchase uniforms and equipment.
