Night in the Country Music Festival, taking place July 27-29, 2017 in Yerington, Nev., is back this summer with star-studded music and a roster of exciting activities.
The legendary lineup is only a slice of what Nevada’s largest country music festival has to offer this year. In addition to catching some of the largest country acts, including Thomas Rhett and Justin Moore, attendees are invited to partake in camping, extreme bull riding, camp-side pools, and Nevada hospitality.
“Night in the Country is the ultimate country music festival experience,” said Justin Aguilar, festival director for Night in the Country. “We’ve heard from many people that it’s their favorite weekend of the summer, so we look forward to continue offering that to more and more people.”
Here are a few things you should know to make your experience at Night in the Country the best one yet.
Camp Near the Stars, Under the Stars
Everyone knows camping is the ultimate way to fully embrace the festival experience while getting to bond with your Night in the Country community. There are a variety of camping options, all located near the main stage. Southern Party Campsites are the only ones left. Make sure to secure yours fast. Showers and ice are for sale online prior to the festival or on site.
It’s a BYOP Party, Baby! (Bring Your Own Pool)
Cool down at by hosting your very own pool party. The festival offers to fill campers’ pools with roaming water trucks, and can top off anything from a plastic kiddie pool to a larger soft wall pool (nothing larger than 2,000 gallons). Fills must be ordered online prior to the festival and be sure to bring plenty of pool noodles and floaties for maximum fun. Make sure you fill out the pool agreement prior in order to receive your water for your pool.
Speaking of BYOB…
For those of you bringing the party along, be aware that Night in the Country is taking additional precautions to ensure that everyone stays safe. Of-age attendees will be allowed to enter the grounds with three bulk alcohol items per person. Bulk items include a case of beer (36 cans), a malt-based beverage or a four-liter box of wine. One bulk item can be hard alcohol, a 1.75 liter PLASTIC bottle. Keep in mind the Full Moon Saloon is an 18-and-over venue that will stay open late into the evening. The Full Moon Saloon features a second stage and a 21-and-over beer garden, and will be open on Thursday from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. For those looking to kick back and try something new this year sampling boxes are available on Friday from noon to 2 p.m. online as an add-on. Boxes include craft beer, whiskey, wine or cigar samplings.
Car and RV Inspections Upon Entry
Take note that all car and RV will be receiving a quick shakedown upon entry to Night in the Country. To combat entrance delays, there will be six check-in lanes. Thursday, July 27 guests can enter the grounds between 8 a.m. and midnight. Friday and Saturday, July 28 and 29 guests can enter the grounds between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Note: re-entry for vehicles that have already been checked-in ends at 3 p.m. daily.
Get Wild with Extreme Bull Riding
There’s no better way to kick off your day than with the heart-pumping action of Extreme Bull Riding. Watch twenty-five bull riders get rough and rowdy on Saturday, July 29 as they each attempt to hang on to a 1,500 pound bucking bull for a minimum of eight seconds. The event goes from noon to 2:30 p.m. and will surely have you sitting at the edge of your seat. Tickets are available for Extreme Bulls is $10+fees in advance and $15+fees day of.
No-Parking Zones
For those who decide to step outside the venue to explore or take a dip in the river, be mindful that Nevada Highway Patrol is ticketing no-parking zones outside the venue. We want you to leave with great memories, not a violation ticket. Also keep in mind that Yerington is not allowing attendees with RVs to unload their waste in town. Guests with RVs can purchase waste tickets to dump in designated areas on the Night in the Country grounds or they can pack it home.
Clean up, will ya?
At Night in the Country, we’re all about getting down and dirty, but we’re about cleaning up too! For those looking to scrub off and feel fresh, tickets to use shower facilities on site will be available for purchase at the will-call building As for campsites, there’s no need to get filthy. Let’s do our good friends over at Circle Bar N Ranch, who donated the farmland area, a favor by tidying up and placing garbage bags out before 9 a.m. to be picked up Friday and Saturday and Sunday.
