Lucille King Hill

1924 ~ 2017

Lucille King Hill passed away on July 16, 2017 on her 93rd birthday in Rancho Mirage, CA, surrounded by family.

She was born in San Gabriel, CA and married Arthur E. Hill on July 8, 1953. They had four boys together, and she was a loving mother to the two boys Arthur brought to their marriage. They moved to Northern Nevada in the mid-1960’s when the boys were young and Lucille remained in the area for 50+ years.

For 16 years, Lucille was Nevada Senate Majority Leader Bill Raggio’s right hand at both his law firm and the Nevada State Legislature. She was elected to the Carson City School Board, and was Nevada Chair for the Republican party. After

retiring once, she went back to work at the Attorney General’s office in Carson City, Nevada. She retired again at age 85!

She is survived by her sons, Geoffrey (Marta) Hill of Rancho Mirage, CA, Timothy Hill of Lake Arrowhead, CA, Kevin (Sarah) Hill of Carson City, NV, Brian (Dulci) Hill of Bel Air, MD; and stepsons, Ronald (Cheryl) Hill of Las Vegas, NV, Gary Hill (Leslie) of Northern CA; and her grandchildren, Michael Hill, Brianna Hill, Andrew Hill, Alexandra Hill, Cameron Hill, Garrhett Hill, Taylor Hill and Heather Hill.

Lucille was a loving mother and grandmother and was widely respected and admired. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.

A memorial service for family and friends celebrating Lucille’s life will be held at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley, 1281 N. Roop St., Carson City on August 5, 2017 at 10 a.m. Reception immediately following at the same location.
