The Yerington Theatre for the Arts is a nonprofit with the purpose of enriching the quality of life in our community through the arts. It presents a Performing Arts Series, Cultural Heritage Events, a Visual Art Exhibition Series and a Youth Art Education Program. The Taste of the Valley is the major fundraising event for the YTA that helps keep these programs available to our community.

Founded in 1984 by a group of Yerington citizens, the nonprofit operates and maintains the historic Jeanne Dini Cultural Center, a 100-year-old landmark schoolhouse-turned-arts-center.

In addition to providing a unique Arts Center with two Galleries and a 150- seat theatre, the site offers meeting and conference space, as well as studio, rehearsal, and performance space for local artists and students.
