The following cases were heard in the Tenth Judicial District Court before Judge Thomas Stockard.

The proceedings for Carly Jeanne Bodenhamer were continued until August so she can apply to a program at New Fronteir. She was charged with attempt to commit home invasion.

The proceedings against Aaron Scott Ramsey were continued until August while a new defense attorney familiarizes himself with the case. He was charged with offer, attempt or commission of an unauthorized act relating to a controlled or counterfeit substance and opening or maintaining a place for unlawful sale, gift or use of a controlled substance.

Derek Lee Marsh pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of an intoxicating liquor or controlled substance, a third or subsequent offense. Sentencing will be held in September.

Proceedings for Jessica Erin Griggs were continued while the court waits for a case in Mineral County to be resolved. Arraignment was rescheduled to mid-August.

Nathan Wade Cook pleaded guilty to driving under the influence, a third or subsequent offense. Sentencing will take place in September.

Jesse Lee Verdugo pleaded guilty to charges of assault with a deadly weapon and destroying or concealing evidence.

The following cases were heard before Judge Robert Estes.

The proceedings for Robert Ray Dyer were continued until August. He was originally charged with attempt to commit the crime of buying, possessing, receiving or withholding stolen property of value $650 to $3,500.

Rickey Jordan was sentenced to 19 to 48 months in prison for possession of a controlled substance. The sentence was suspended, and he was placed on probation for five years.

The following cases were heard before Judge William Rogers.

Shane C. John was sentenced to 12 to 32 months in prison for possession of a controlled substance. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for two years to run concurrent with the sentence for federal charges.

Jonathon Wayne Brown pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance. He will be sentenced in August.

Proceedings against Jami Ann Chappell were continued for 30 days after she tested positive for methamphetamine that morning. She was originally charged with unlawful use or being under the influence of a controlled substance and conspiracy to committ a felony crime under the uniform controlled substances act, a first offense.
