Richard Maldonado Sr.

August 4, 1932 ~ June 23, 2017

Richard Maldonado Sr. entered the Spirit World on June 23rd, 2017 with his family by his side.

Richard was born on August 4th, 1932 in El Paso, Texas. He was the only son, oldest brother to his 3 sisters, Aurelia, Blanch and Narcisa.

He had many jobs as a security guard and machinist in his younger years. His primary trade was machine tool and dye maker, he enjoyed his work.

He met the love of his life Theresa many many years ago and they were married on October 11th, 1973. Together they enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and travelling. They were inseparable.

Richard loved making his own jewelry for his wife and family. He loved all types of music and playing the guitar and seranading his wife, even if she got tired of hearing the same song.

Richard was the proud father to 5 children, Dickie, Tina, Linda, Ruben and Ruby. He treasured their long talks and time together.

After his wife’s passing, 10 months ago, he was truley heartbroken.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Porfirio Maldonado; his wife Theresa; and sister Blanche.

He is survived by his children, Richard Jr., Tina, Linda, Ruben Maldonado; and step daughter Ruby See Walker; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 27th at 2 pm at Walton’s Funeral Home.

A burial service will be held at Mission Hills Cemetery, San Fernando Valley, California.
