Patricia Lorine Merrill, 74, of Fallon, Nevada and Willow, Alaska, passed away on March 1, 2017. patricia was born in Fort Morgan, Colorado on January 29, 1943. Patricia was united in marriage to the love of her life Arthur R. Merrill, Jr. on June 22, 1958; they were married nearly 59 years and were together until her passing.
Patricia was a mother, homemaker and Navy Wife. She spent 22 years supporting her husband in his Navy career while raising two children. She instilled the importance of a hug and how you never walk away without telling the ones you love how much you love them.
Diagnosed at a young age with Multiple Sclerosis, she provided strength and motivation to all that knew her. She was feisty, stubborn and she was loved very much. Heaven has gained an Angel. Patricia is survived by her husband Arthur, Son Arthur R. Merrill, III and his wife Lorie, Daughter Amelia Ward and her husband Robert. Also two grandchildren, Amanda Merrill-Millage and Shaun Merrill and six great-grandchildren; Caitlyn, Camden, Logan, Hailee, Emmalee and Annelle and Her Brother Timothy C. Brown and Sister Jennice A. Lawrence.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents James B. Brown and Charlene A. Brown.
Patricia was a member of the First Baptist Church in Willow, Alaska.
No funeral service is planned at this time.
For everyone who remembers Patricia, she would hope that you would do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for someone less fortunate, in her name.
The family of Patricia L. Merrill wishes to thank all of the responders and caregivers who worked to help her through this crisis that lead to her passing. Ambulance crew and staff at Banner Churchill, Care Flight crew and the wonderful staff at Renown Hospital and Hospice in Reno, for the care and compassion they provided.
