The Silver City Arts group is meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 9, to discuss the arts and culture scene in Silver City.
The meeting will be at the Silver City School House, 385 High St., Silver City.
Agenda items include advertising planning for Larry Kotik’s May exhibition, planning for a mid-winter community potluck dinner with music; editing a Welcome Wagon brochure for new residents; and discussing development of a Silver City slide show of photographs.
The group draws on artists and musicians to bring free public art programs to the region. The group’s mission is to encourage the arts, build community, and share about the town through free events.
In addition to events such as a monthly acoustic music jams and a poetry corner at the Silver City Post Office, the group hosts art exhibitions, artisan shows, and poetry readings and helps support local concerts in partnership with other groups.
