Carson Choral Boosters Club is helping Carson High School Concert Choir get to the Festival of Gold this spring in Los Angeles, Calif.

The club is raising funds to ensure each student is able to attend the festival regardless of their ability to pay.

The invitation was extended to the choir following its Gold Level performance at the Heritage Festival in Anaheim, Calif., last year.

The Festival of Gold’s mission is to celebrate and encourage musical excellence and artistry. In addition to performances, it includes clinics by conductors and music mentors from around the nation.

The Boosters Club is a nonprofit, and all donations are tax deductible. The CHS Choir is under the direction of Andrew Sonnemaker, Department Head of Fine Arts. He can be reached at asonnemaker@carson.k12.nv.us.
