An afternoon of fashion, food and fun to benefit the Carson City Democratic Women’s scholarship fund is coming to the Governor’s Mansion on March 25.
The club is presenting Women at Work, an annual fashion show featuring men’s and women’s clothing from JC Penny’s, Maurice’s and C-A-L Ranch Stores.
The Master of Ceremonies will be Kathy Bartosz, executive officer for Partnership Carson City. Fashions will be modeled by Catherine Byrne, Cedric Williams, Amanda Palmer, Paul Catha, Michelle White, Assemblyman Chris Brooks, Danielle Cook, Mira Caraway, Stacy Giomi, Dr. Sandra Koch and Dr. Tim McFadden and Nancy Stiles.
The event will be from noon to 2 p.m. in the Nevada Stateroom.
Festivities also include a raffle, silent auction, live auction with Kimi Cole as auctioneer, and a no-host bar. An added attraction features Cedric Williams singing a medley of songs.
Proceeds will benefit the Eugene Paslov Memorial Carson City Democratic Women’s Scholarship Fund and activities. Food will be provided by A Catered Affair.
Tickets in advance are $30 and include one specialty cocktail. They are being sold at Democratic Headquarters, 502 E. John St., Suite G, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays.
