Corned beef, cabbage, carrots, potatoes and dessert are on the menu at Carson City Emblem Club’s St. Patrick’s Day dinner on Friday.
The social starts at 5 with dinner following at 6 p.m. at Elks Lodge No. 2177, 515 N. Nevada St. The event will benefit local charities.

Additionally, Toiyabe Golf Club in Washoe Valley is offering St. Patrick’s Day lunch specials from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.
Specials include corned beef and cabbage; Irish chicken and dumpling soup; kale salad with heirloom tomatoes and poached eggs; grilled lamb chops and Irish stew; Guinness root beer floats and green beer.
Also, the golf club is taking reservations for Easter brunch, which will offer traditional brunch items, omelet and waffle stations, bottomless champagne and more, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 16.
