Carson City open burn season to open March 25

Carson City residents will have an opportunity to dispose of accumulated weeds and yard debris when the Fire Department allows open burning March 25-April 23.

A burn permit with a valid permit number is required. Permits must be obtained no less than 24 hours prior to conducting an open burn.

Permits will be issued on a walk-in basis starting March 20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at Fire Station 51/Headquarters, 777 S. Stewart St.; and online at www.carson.org under the Fire Department, Open Burning page.
