The community is invited to gather inside the Westside Pour House in celebration of Amy Kimm, a former Carson High School basketball player who died Tuesday in McKinney, Texas.

After almost three weeks in an intensive-care unit, Kimm succumbed to an infection that left her on Life Support.

Kimm helped the CHS Senators win three consecutive state championships in 1983-1985. She went on to play for Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas.

The celebration of life, organized by Kimm’s brother Dan, will be from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. April 4 at the restaurant on Telegraph Street.

Dan will be on hand to share stories about his sister along with a gift from CHS — a jersey, No. 42, the same number Kimm played under as a Senator.
