June 17, 1943 - March 9, 2017
38-year Minden resident, Kenneth Robinson peacefully went to his Heavenly home on March 9, 2017 surrounded by family and friends.
Born on June 17, 1943, Ken lived in several California cities before moving to Nevada. He worked 30 years as a telecommunications technician before retiring in 1996.
Ken was passionate about serving the Lord, rooting for the San Francisco Giants, and enjoying food, especially chocolate. He loved spending his retirement volunteering at local thrift stores, the Family Support Council and working with children in the AWANAs program. Ken was fluent in ASL and loved signing in the church. In his free time he would fish, work on crossword puzzles, go running, and challenge others to play along with Jeopardy on TV.
Ken leaves behind his family with many cherished memories. Wife, Kathy Robinson of Minden; son, Kevin Robinson of Los Angeles; Daughters, Kristy Robinson of Oakland, Kari Vandenberg of Portland; and granddaughter, Vera Vandenberg.
A memorial service will be held at Hilltop Community Church in Carson City on April 15th at 1pm.
Donations may be made in his name to the Family Support Council of Douglas County.
