A comedian who was a semifinalist on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” is the next performer in Carson Comedy’s new comedy series at the Brewery Arts Center.
K-von, also known for his acting on MTV’s show “Disaster Date,” will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the BAC’s Performance Hall, 511 W. King St.
The comedian has appeared on Showtime, Netflix, HLN and “Good Morning America.”
When not filming, he often shares the stage with other big names in the comedy world including Daniel Tosh, Dane Cook, and Brad Garrett.
In his act, K-von covers mainstream topics, skewers Olympic athletes and offers unsolicited advice to cyber-bullied youth. Online dating, flight attendants, and public bathrooms are also topics that aren’t off limits when K-von performs.
The show is suggested for ages 18 and up. Doors open at 6:30 and the theater opens at 7 p.m.

Another comedy event at the Brewery Arts Center will feature an all-female lineup of Northern Nevada comedians.
One Mother of a Comedy Show will pay tribute to mothers on May 27.
Sara Rooker will host with nine other comedians recounting tales of being a mother, their own mother, or random funny stories.
Rounding out the bill are local performers Brooke Elizabeth, Courtney Lynn, Jenny Pez de Spencer, Josie Spadoni, Kate Brady, Meghan Simons, Vickie Gordon, Sally O’Neill, and Darlene Pearson.
The showcase will be at 8 p.m. in the BAC’s Black Box Theater, 449 W. King St.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 at the door and offer open seating and a cash bar.
