Computer Cops is offering three Tech Camps offering students basic computer building and using skills.
Students age 10-15 can learn about computer recycling, testing, assembly and operation in two weeks at ComputerCorps’ Carson City location, 550 Mallory Way.
Additionally, students get to take home a Windows 10 computer that they will build at camp. The computers include a monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, DVD/RW, wired Internet capability, Windows 10 Pro, Microsoft Office 2010 Suite.
The Tech Camps run in two-week sessions and include camp shirts, a graduation ceremony and a lifetime of learning. Scholarships are available to those in need.
The event is part of the ComputerCorps’ “Every Home a classroom” philosophy.
Classes are from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. The sessions are planned on June 12-23; July 10-21 and July 31-Aug. 11.
