Carson City Stewart Father’s Day Powwow Princess sought

The Stewart Father’s Day Powwow Committee is looking for contestants for the 2017 Stewart Father’s Day Powwow Princess Pageant.

The pageant will be held in conjunction with the Stewart Indian School Alumni Recognition from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on June 15 at the Plaza Hotel and Events Center.

For eligibility, contestants must be age 13-18 by June 15 and must not turn 18 until after June 15. They must have full regalia and need to be registered for dance competition in any category.

Additionally, contestants must be American Indian and a resident of Nevada and at the time of registration the applicant cannot hold another powwow princess title.

The winner will be announced during the Stewart Father’s Day Powwow on June 16. The princess will be asked to participate in events throughout the year to promote the Stewart Father’s Day Powwow.
