Ah, spring is in the air, and another successful Bark in the Park has taken place. It is with profound gratitude that we thank each and every person who made our fund-raising event a success. I realize that every fundraising group is scrambling to augment their funds for scholarships and other goals, but our home grown no-kill shelter is a common goal of everyone.

Yes, CAPS is the brain child of our original “Dirty Dozen” who spearheaded a movement to have a shelter where animals could be protected and cared for without the fear of death. At one time we didn’t have a shelter, but there were five dumps where animals were literally dumped.

Along came Norma Klenakis who envisioned a world where animals were taken care of instead of dumped. Out of her vision grew CAPS, which is the only no-kill shelter in Fallon. Fortunately, we have had community support for this important mission. We thank everyone who helped make this a success story. Please support the following businesses who have supported us. Thanks everyone!
