The Carson Nugget is holding the first performance of its 2017 Summer Concert Series with Volt: A Salute to AC/DC on May 28.
The hard-hitting, high energy rock band is based out of Livermore, Calif. It specializes in the music of AC/DC and performances from the albums “Back in Black” and “Powerage.”
The band was formed out of a mutual respect for each member’s ability and professional level performance.
Members are Rick Juarez, vocals; Johnny Reed, lead guitar and backing vocals; Ron Spears, lead guitar and backing vocals; Hank Gibson, bass and backing vocals; and Marty Schuchardt, drums.
Each member has played the Bay Area scene for decades, honing the skills needed to bring the music of AC/DC to life.
The performance will be at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $15 for general admission and $30 for VIP entry.
The Volt concert is just one of many entertainment events packed into Memorial Day weekend at the Nugget.
The Carson Comedy Club is featuring Dan St. Paul at 8 p.m. May 26, and Lady and the Tramps will be playing in The Loft from 8 p.m. to midnight May 26 and 27.
Ev Musselman will be playing in The Loft after the Volt concert on May 28.
Additionally, the casino will have drawings for The All-American ATV Giveaway at 7 and 10 p.m. May 26 and 27 and 7 p.m. May 28. The last person standing in the 10 p.m. drawing on May 27 will win an ATV.
