Johnny Rockets, 4600 Snyder Ave., Suite B, 99 points. The floors behind the kitchen line needed to be cleaned.
Kim Lee’s Sushi & Teriyaki, oyster bar, 319 N. Carson St., 99 points. The ice cream cooler and soda taps needed to be cleaned. It was recommended raw seafood products be segregated from ice cream.

Gold Dust West, Ole Ole Mexican Restaurant, 2171 E. Highway 50, 97 points. Food wasn’t being prepared with minimal manual contact. An employee was seen handling cooked shrimp without gloves. Floors weren’t clean.
Westside Pour House, bar, 110 W. Telegraph St., 97 points. Nonfood-contact surfaces — floors, the fan in the walk-in cooler and soda syrup storage area — needed to be cleaned and sanitized. Some items weren’t being neatly stored, hindering adequate cleaning.

Food Mart, 1102 N. Carson St., 95 points. Drain plugs were missing from the sink. Bleach or another approved sanitizer was needed at the three-basin sink. Food service operations weren’t being separated from sleeping or living quarters. A bed and sleeping area were found in the rear food storage area.
Gold Dust West, The Grille, 2171 E. Highway 50, 95 points. Cold food was found above the required temperature of 41 degrees or below. Staff members didn’t have food thermometers readily available. Nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment and utensils weren’t clean. Surfaces between the line equipment, target knobs and wheel locks needed to be cleaned and sanitized, as well as the interior surfaces of coolers, walk-in refrigerators and fans. Floors weren’t clean. Cleaning was needed behind line equipment where grease and food buildup was found.
Carson Lanes, Alley’s Snack Bar, 4600 Snyder Ave., 93 points. Food-contact surfaces of equipment needed to be cleaned. Dishes weren’t being properly sanitized to prevent the presence of pathogens. Sanitizer was missing from the dishwasher’s final rinse cycle. The sink was in disrepair; hot water wasn’t available. Plumbing wasn’t properly sized, installed or maintained. The two-basin sink wasn’t operational.
Kim Lee’s Sushi & Teriyaki, main kitchen, 319 N. Carson St., 91 points. Food-contact surfaces weren’t clean. The dishwasher needed to be fixed and properly maintained. Food wasn’t being stored in approved containers. Raw chicken was being stored above strawberries and other ready-to-eat food. Fish stored in plastic wrap was in contact with avocado. Raw meat wasn’t being properly stored below vegetables, fruits and other ready-to-eat food. Sushi needed to be stored away from raw food. The dishwasher wasn’t functional, and employees weren’t testing the sanitizer rinse. The staff needed to be trained on proper manual dishwashing procedures. Nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment and utensils weren’t clean. The microwave needed to be cleaned in addition to the floor behind the line equipment. The cart next to the fryer was coated in grease. Walls needed to be cleaned along the three-basin sink and line area.
