Open auditions set in Carson City for ‘Nightfall with Edgar Allan Poe’

Proscenium Players, Inc. is holding open auditions for its next production coming this fall: “Nightfall with Edgar Allan Poe” by Eric Coble.

The play centers around Poe as he works his way through four of his most famous stories, all while trying to convince the audience that he’s not insane.

Male casting is for four men between the ages of 45 and 50; two men in their 60s; and one man age 20-30.

Female casting is for one woman (or male) age 18-30 and another woman age 45-50.

Cold-reading auditions will be at 6:30 p.m. May 31 and 11 a.m. June 3 in the Brewery Arts Center’s Maizie Harris Jesse Black Box Theater, 449 W. King St., Carson City.

Cast and crew members are required to become PPI members before the first performance. The production is scheduled for eight shows on three consecutive weekends in September.

Performance dates are Friday and Saturday evenings, Sept. 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, and 30, and matinee performances on Sept. 17 and 24.
