Daniela Eileen Paniagua, age 28, a Gardnerville resident for 21 years, died on May 17, 2017 at Carson Tahoe Regional.
She was born at Washoe Medical Center (Renown) on September 14, 1988 to Edward & C. Tina Paniagua. Before moving to Gardnerville, Daniela experienced 6 wonderful years with family in Tonopah, Nevada.
Daniela graduated from Douglas High Schoolin 2005. She attended WNC and continued her study at UNR in Neuroscience, Political Science and Psychology. Daniela tutored in the WNC system until her death.
Daniela was preceded in death by her father Edward D. Paniagua and Grampa Ralph and Gramma Kay Whittaker of Tonopah.
Among Daniela’s survivors are her sisters, Elaina (Paniagua) Tomicic of Reno; Stefanie Galli of Tonopah; brothers, Eric and Wesley Paniagua of Elko; and her mother, C. Tina Paniagua of Gardnerville. Daniela’s maternal grandparents are Pat and Dorothy Leo of New York; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews throughout the country.
A Funeral will be at 10:00 am Friday, June 2nd at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville, NV with Father Paul McCollum officiating.
A Rosary will precede the Service at 9:30 am.
Burial will be at Eastside Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Suicide Prevention Network of Douglas County.
