Children’s night: At the Park Theater the pictures this week are the best ever seen. Two of the reels are colored and are tokens from the musical extravaganza “Babes in Fairyland.” Also playing are three comic pictures.

Marriage: Eleanor Yerington and John Breuner were united in marriage in the presence of immediate members of the family. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Yerington and one of Carson’s fairest flowers. Mr. Breuner is a resident of San Francisco and connected with the big California furniture house of that name.

Gold-dredging expert: One of the best-known gold-dredging experts has established his residence in Nevada’s capital city. He plans to open a lapidary shop on Carson Street. He is currently dismantling the great Manhattan bucket-line dredge in Nye County.

Roop Street: The street is evolving from a residential area to a commercial district. One step in the process was to change zoning south of the Carson City Community Center to accommodate new office buildings.
Sue Ballew is the daughter of Bill Dolan, who wrote this column for the Nevada Appeal from 1947 until his death in 2006.
