A potluck dinner, live music, games and more are planned at a free Christmas party from 3 to 7 p.m. Dec. 16 at Veterans Healing Camp.
The celebration will feature a potluck dinner, live music, singing with Randy Ide, games, an ugly Christmas sweater contest, a white elephant gift exchange, and pictures with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
Attendees are asked to bring a potluck dish to share and a small wrapped present for the gift exchange.
All proceeds from the party will benefit the camp, which opened this year to help local veterans make a successful transition from military to civilian life.
To help with the party or to make a donation, call Shahla Fadaie at 775-781-2394.
The camp, at 1775 E. US Highway 50 in Silver Springs, is online at veteranshealingcamp.org.
